5 day pattern making for bespoke shoes

Footwear pattern cutting is an essential part of footwear design, helping to create well-fitting uppers and distinctive bespoke shoes.

Our practical Footwear Pattern Cutting courses in London demonstrate the aspects of footwear pattern cutting that make a shoe upper design unique. You will learn the heritage techniques of pattern cutting for bespoke shoes including taping and designing on the last; making a mean forme; and about edge treatments and seam allowances.

Pattern cutting on either our lasts or your own, you will make bespoke footwear patterns for a slip on shoe / slipper, a classic Oxford shoe and a Derby shoe. These and the comprehensive notes supplied in class will provide a strong foundation from which to create your own footwear patterns in the future.

Places on all courses are filled on a first-come, first-served basis so please download, complete and return your booking form as soon as possible.
