Holding the pencil upright, draw around the foot, following the outline. Keep the pencil vertical at all times. On the inside of the foot go back and allow the pencil to dip under the foot to mark the arch of the foot (the curve of the foot between the heel and the big toe joint).

MEASUREMENTS
Measurement 1: The Joint
Slide the tape measure beneath the foot and bring it around the widest part of the foot, straight across the foot from the big toe joint.

Measurement 2: The Instep
(The middle of the foot)
Slide the tape measure underneath the arch of the foot
(the gap on the inside of the foot) and measure around the foot.

Measurement 3: Mid-foot
Slide the tape measure beneath the foot and bring it around, straight across the foot, at a point half way between Measurement 1 (the joint) and Measurement 2 (the instep).

Measurement 4: The Heel
Slide the tape measure just under the heel at the back where it touches the paper and bring it around to meet at the front of the ankle, in line with the point where the instep measure was taken.
