The tool shed

Welcome to the Carréducker Tool Shed, where you can find everything that you need to make a pair of handsewn shoes, all in one place.

It’s packed full of the specialist tools that we use ourselves, chosen by us because they do the best job. They are made from the best materials and supplied by the best manufacturers. (You will need other tools – nippers, nail punch, file, rasp, nail hammer etc. - but you can usually get these from a hardware store).

The Tool Shed

  • In this pack are all of the materials that you need to make your shoes. These are the same materials that we use, from the oak bark tanned leather of Bakers in England (the really good stuff) to the thread wax, which we make ourselves to a centuries-old recipe. It's for those of you who already have 0743 lasts or your own lasts.
