Welcome to the Carréducker Tool Shed, where you can find everything that you need to make a pair of handsewn shoes, all in one place.

It’s packed full of the specialist tools that we use ourselves, chosen by us because they do the best job. They are made from the best materials and supplied by the best manufacturers. (You will need other tools – nippers, nail punch, file, rasp, nail hammer etc. - but you can usually get these from a hardware store).

The Tool Shed

  • This is the basic set of specialist tools that you need to make a pair of shoes. We have tried and tested many different tools and manufacturers over the years. The tools that we sell are the tools that we like to use because we think that they do the best job. Unsurprisingly, they include tools from the legendary English tool manufacturer George Barnsley of Sheffield, England. (You will need other tools - nippers, nail punch, file, rasp, nail hammer etc. - but you can usually get these from a hardware store).
