Leather itself is a waste material and by-product that would otherwise go to landfill or be incinerated. Veg. tanned leather is a natural, organical material; it is full of character with tones and depths of colour that vary and change with use and age, developing a beautiful patina over time.

Veg. tanned leather is tanned with natural, organical material e.g. oakbark, chestnut or mimosa that gives a tone and depth of colour that varies and changes with use and age, becoming more supple and developing a beautiful patina.

Your belt

Choose the colour: Dark Brown, Soot Black, Forest Green or Natural Oak Bark

Choose the hardware: Brass or Nickel (the solid British buckles come from Abbey England in Cheshire)

Choose the width: 1 1/4″ or 1 1/2″

Choose the length: Small 30″- 32″, Medium 32″ – 34″, Large 36″ – 38″

(There are five buckle holes in total. The above lengths are measured from the buckle bar to the second and fourth buckle holes so you have a little wiggle room either way. (To work out the best length for you, measure from the buckle bar to the most often used hole on an existing non-stretch belt).

Delivery & Returns Info.

Shipping – We process and ship online orders once a week on a Friday. They are trackable and signed for via Royal Mail or Parcelforce. We’ll let you know what the tracking number is when we ship. We aim to process all other orders within 7 days and we alert customers to any out of stock items or delays with their orders.

Change an order – It’s not always possible to add to or change your order but email us straight away and we will do our best to accommodate your request. Please email us orders@carreducker.com

Returns & Exchanges – You can return or exchange items, but please let us know your intention by email to orders@carreducker.com. Return the item in an unused, re-sellable condition within 14 days. Send to Carreducker London Limited, Unit 1.20, The Courtyard, OXO Tower Wharf, Bargehouse Street, London SE1 9PH by a tracked & signed for service e.g. Royal Mail or Parcelforce

Refunds – We will issue a full refund for the value of your Leather Accessories – Key Fob , including the original shipping costs, within 30 days of receipt of the item in an unused, re-sellable condition.

Out of stock –If an item is temporarily out of stock, we will contact you immediately by email with an expected delivery time for the item. You can choose to wait, to cancel your order or for a separate delivery when we receive the item.

Exemptions – The right to return products does not apply to the following; goods we make to your specification, that we clearly personalise or which, by reason of their nature, are non-returnable

Specification:

The belt is available in brown, black, green or natural oak bark tanned leather, in two widths and three lengths:

• 1 1/4″ or 1 1/2″ wide
• Small 30″ – 32″, Medium 32″ – 34″, Large 36″ – 38″

…and is ideal to wear with denim or chinos. (Use the guide shown to calculate the length you need, measuring from the centre bar of the buckle to the hole you use most often).

This class captures everything that we love about teaching leather craft, just the right balance of tactile materials and technical difficulty, that will have you glowing with pride when you’ve finished it.

On the course:

You’ll learn to:

Nourish and burnish the leather

Punch the stitch holes

Finish and polish the edges

Saddle stitch the belt together

Punch and fit the screw rivet or make and fit a leather keeper

Shape the end and punch the buckle holes

Please wear trousers/jeans, comfortable work clothes and covered footwear

Please bring your glasses if you need them for close up work

Our leather is chosen for its tactile, durable and supple qualities.  The vegetable tanned lerather comes from Tuscany and the oak bark leather from England.

Vegetable tanned leather is tanned using natural, organical material such as oak bark, mimosa and chestnut; the tone and depth of colour of the leather varies and changes with use and age, developing a beautiful patina over time.

The leather we work with is a by-product of the meat and dairy industry and would otherwise go to landfill or be incinerated.

Our hardware is solid brass / nickel,  sourced from Italy and England

Short course refunds and cancellations:

We try to be flexible when it comes to bookings, we know that life can sometimes get in the way of the best laid plans.

Re-scheduling: If you’re unable to attend a course due to illess, personal or professional commitments please let us know as soon as possible by telephone AND email and we will re-schedule your class or course to a later date. Changes to bookings must be made by telephoning the emergency mobile number supplied AND in writing via email to cd@carreducker.com ideally with at least 24 hours notice.

Cancellations: Cancellations are permitted up to two weeks before the course. Cancellations after that time will result in a £35 cancellation fee.

We try to avoid cancelling ourselves, but reserve the right to where it is unavoidable. In this situation, we will either give a full refund or reschedule the class.
