Napier Saddle Derby Shoe
Saddle derby shoes in chestnut veg tanned calf leather by Tempesti and mid blue waxed canvas by British Millerain – an absolute Carreducker classic, first made in 2007 in Scottish deerskin and khaki canvas. One of our favourite shoes ever
Sometimes when we see a customer, they know they want a pair of bespoke shoes but they have no idea what style they want or even what colour. This is where we can help and this decision making process is a key part of the design consultation we do with every customer.
After we measure their feet, we always talk about their wardrobe and when they are planning to wear the shoes. It is our job to tease out as much information as we can to get to a final design. Part of this process is looking at the samples we have in our Bespoke Room and very often, the customers who are not sure what they want choose from what they can see. This includes styles, colours, leathers and design details
And these saddle derby shoes are a perennial favourite. I think we have made at least three versions of them and the Napier is the latest. We particularly love the combination of colours and textures in this iteration.
