Wingfield Derby Boot

The Wingfield derby boot is a bespoke boot with brogue punched wing cap and heel counter. It also combines two black leather types, a smooth box calf and a tightly patterned french grain calf. It has five lace holes on the facings along with a squared-off toe. All in all, a pleasingly proportioned boot suitable for all occasions

We decided to make the boots with a Norwegian welt and thicker sole to give them a chunkier vibe, something not frequently seen in West End bootmaking, but we think it gives them pleasing proportions and makes them unique.

• UPPER Box calf; French grain
• LINING Natural veg-tan lining
• MAKING Norwegian welt; mid-sole; square waist; black sole and heel edges; natural sole finish

As an alternative to a black derby boot, you might consider a black oxford boot for  more formal look.
