Ormond Boot

The Ormond boot – custom made boots with a 1930s vibe.  We designed them way back in 2004 and we still love them.
We made them with the quarters in antiqued, brown box calf and the forepart in sleek, black box calf. We chose our classic 0743 last so the  have an elegant, almond toe shape.
Patina is not a technique which we use often, but we felt these boots would be improved by patinating the quarters. So we painted them by hand using leather dyes to give a mottled look to the leather. It give s the boots a “lived in” look which suits their strong proportions
The saddle boot style is perfect for work or play. The 0743 last gives them a sleek silhouette but the exaggerated curve of the facings relaxes the aesthetics of the boots. A Carréducker classic, and although we have made them  in a variety of colour combinations, we still prefer this iteration, the original and the best
  • UPPER Black box calf; antiqued, tobacco-brown quarters which are painted by hand
  • LINING Natural veg-tanned leather
  • MAKING Bevelled waist, quarter inch sole and a pitched heel for a dressier look

If you wanted a single colour, then these boots might appeal
