Webber Oxford Shoes

Sometimes things just fall into place beautifully and this is certainly the case with these burgundy oxfords. We made them for a father ands son team as a celebration of his son’s graduation and first job. The father wanted burgundy oxfords and we happened to have a skin of Horween Chromexcel in the workshop. The customer loved it and the choice was easy!

The shoes themselves are classically simple – a plain fronted oxford with one row of brogue punching. The only adornment is the one red eyelet which is the customer’s signature which he has on all his shoes

The leather lends itself to a good shine so we concentrated on the toe area for maximum impact

What both the father and son commented on was the way your foot slips into a pair of bespoke shoes with a characteristic “whoosh”. So satisfying!

UPPERS: burgundy Chromexcel calf by Horween; plain vamp with brogue punching on seam; one red eyelet; five lace holes; slip beading; backseam with dog ear

LINING: grey glace kid

MAKING: hand lasted; hand welted; 1/4″ sole; standard heel height; regular welt; 10 spi; natural finish throughout; high shine on the cap

If you like these burgundy oxfords, you might like these which are similar but with a wing cap and more brogue punching
