MATERIAL: 3mm natural vegetable tanned leather from Walpier tannery, Tuscany. Wet moulded, stretched and shaped by hand; pinned and dried, burnished and waxed.
TRACABILITY: Leather is a waste material, a by-product of the meat and dairy industry. These vessels are made from vegetable tanned leather, sourced from Tuscany, Italy and Devon, England. It is tanned using water and natural organic materials like mimosa, chestnut and oak bark and is one of the most sustainable ways of tanning leather.
