Judd Chelsea Boot

The Judd Chelsea boot is an asymmetric, bespoke Chelsea boot with a soft chisel toe and bespoke patina in dark blue, purple, black and plum. The brief was to make a unique, low-rise Chelsea boot with a custom patina. In the design process, we agreed that the vamp would be asymmetrical which gives the boots a cool, retro feel, think Captain Kirk meets the Prisoner. The custom patina also gives them a distinctly bespoke look. When we do a custom patina, we always choose an undyed, unglazed calf skin known as “crust”. It has pale cream appearance but takes the dye really well. Once the patina is finished, the boots are burnished to a high shine. They are fitted with three-piece trees which are also bespoke, made by our skilled last maker.
