Westland Chukka Boots

Chukka boots are a staple of a man’s wardrobe and the Westland is a classic example – you can wear tehm anywhere from a formal work meeting to a relaxed weekend away. This is exactly what the customer asked for when we met and so we agreed that a chukka boot with a chisel toe would meet the brief.

We made them in Steel Museum Calf by Italian tannery Zonta, a leather characterised by it’s mottled top dressing to give a multitonal, subtle colour gradation. Steel is a warm brown/grey which compliments grey, blue and brown trousers. The royal blue kid lining glimpsed on the facings is a daring choice

They have a soft chisel toe; oak bark tanned leather soles by Bakers; a bevelled waist; and a hand built leather heel. The sole and heel edges are fininshed in a dark natural tone to compliment the uppers and to relax the overall look of the Westland chukka boots

We love them and thankfully the customer does too as he has ordered another pair in Museum Calf Sunburst

UPPERS: Zonta Museum Calf Steel, hand crows foot stay stitches

LINING: Royal blue glace kid

MAKING: standard heel height; 1/4″ sole; bevelled waist; dark natural finish throughout; hand welted; stacked leather heel; hand finished
